Bintan on video!

Thanks to the amazing video skills of Dr Kevin Soh, an ENT specialist, he brilliantly captured our ride so excellently! Do enjoy and many thanks Kevin for all the hard work and sharing it with us...

Very cool. A good documentary, better than maps and plans yea!

Thanks for sharing, Bintan looks like a nice place to roam in, it seems. Mustering even more motivation to ride in Riau Islands.

I hope I am not responsible for this http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=562835

:)

I going to be in OR next month. Am seriously considering picking up a Standard NWT (pocket companion may be), I hear there is a 8 Spd version now.

The Flyby has been hijacked by a friend of mine. And my tikit riding house mate is not helping me curb my need for a foldie. It is just too much fun.

Nat, my good friend Dr Mike is a physician but he has no cure for foldinitis and I can't help him either. Poor us!

Lucky you Nat, off to Eugene OR. Like a kid in the best lolly shop in the world. I'm so envious and yes, NWT sounds like perfect. Vik's white one is like a beautiful white horse waiting to whisk its rider to faraway lands...

I wonder if you could pick up a small 1cm screw for me from BF? My tikit handlebar stem knob went AWOL at Bintan. I will be v grateful for this small favour.

Of course, Will gladly pick one up. can you drop me a mail on how it looks? A picture will be perfect. I carry my e-mails everywhere and will help me remember the proper item to pick up.

Thanks Nat! I owe you big time. Can u email me at lovethefold at gmail dot com so I can forward the details to you? I will also contact the BF people to expect you.

Mucho gracias. Back to 2c weather this Sunday and returning in late Sept for Trans Borneo. Will contact you then Nat!

Have a great and safe trip and don't melt the plastic getting all the goodies :)

ns Borneo. Sounds like fun. I should be back by mid Aug. And should be able to sneak time off work in Sep. The schedule might work. Hmmm. Will look forward.

Will drop you an e-mail and we can take it from there.

hi Al,
Check with u what is a better ride for this route.
Brompton M (6 gear, with rear rack)or Flamingo F1 with racing slicks? Flamingo can take me to longer distances, but it is more suited for road conditions.. I see the video that there are some sandy and B grade roads. My slicks are abit worn, so I dun mind changing to fatter tyres..which is better? marathons or fat apples?
